Conservation as a risky job

Peyman Moghadas Iranian Wildlife Conservationist

A risky life style is one of the first comes to mind when we think about wildlife conservation. That is true, indeed. Working in the wild isn’t an easy job, and it is only passion which motivates conservationists to continue their high risk career.
Last week, the FLF’s Project Coordinator in northern Iran, Peyman Moghadas was seriously injured due to a horse kicking onto his face. On his usual patrolling for detecting poachers in Dohezar-Sehezar area, the horse kick left him with a torn lips and a blot clot. Peyman was immediately taken to the nearest clinic, two hours away for treatment and his lips were stitched. He was more than lucky that his teeth were not broken due to the horse kicking. Currently, Peyman is fine, resting at home, before returning to the reserve next week.
